ISAT Study Groups Going Strong!
The teams have been formed and named! 4th grade MECCA * 5th grade FIFTH SQUAD * 6th grade SUPERSTARS * 7th grade tbd * 8th grade tbd - Group practice testing and instruction has begun! Some basics about test taking strategies have been discussed. Here are some points the students made.
1. Read the questions and answers before starting the reading passages
2. Look for important words that are in:
"QUOTATIONS", ITALICS, and BOLD .. . and BOLDED ITALICS
3. Look for sequencing - Cause and Effect - Compare and Contrast
6. In all multiple choice questions, figure out the two answers that are absolutely wrong!
7. STAY FOCUSED! - do not SABOTAGE or DERAIL your class mates while studying or testing
8. If you see a word you don't know, write it down and look it up online!
